I know I'm a day late with this post, but my last week or so had really gotten away from me and kept me mostly offline.

Anyway, for last week's Project52 theme of 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles', I have this shot of one of the Park-n-Ride transit stations here in Calgary. My office building affords me a great bird's eye view of this station, so I just had to attempt one of those tilt-shift miniature types of shots. The post-processing was done in onOne Software's Perfect Photo Suite.

For this week's Project52 theme of 'Spring', I took this shot of what it seems like we're seeing a lot of here in Calgary. The snow is melting, but it's getting pretty dirty in the meantime. Of course, it then melts onto the dead grass, pooling into little puddles of mud. Can't wait until it's all gone and the foliage actually starts to turn green again!

I was up in Edmonton again for my son's indoor soccer tournament this past weekend. One of the fields there had a great vantage point on the back wall next to the keeper via some large plexiglass windows. I'm still sorting through all my shots, but I thought that this one fit well with the 'Depth of Field' theme for this week's Project52 photo. Not sure where it came from, but it looks like someone tossed one of those super bouncy balls onto the field and it landed in the keeper's area.

For this week's 'In the Workplace' theme for Project52, I took a number of photos around the office where I work. I opted to try shooting a number of closeups of some common office doodads like phones, computers, and such.

Recently, I've been spending a lot of time talking to one of these. Ah, meetings. So many meetings.

We were up in Edmonton for the Synchro Alberta Provincials competition this past weekend. This was my daughter's first out-of-town competition of the season and I figured there would be plenty of photographers around to try and capture for this week's 'Other Photographers' theme. I noticed a couple of them opted to shoot from the diving platforms above the pool – one on the 3m and the other on the 5m. Not sure if I could have done that myself. Not really because of the height, but because I'd be too paranoid of leaning forward just a little too far and falling in.
