Thanks for following along!
It's been a little while since we've posted much on the blog, so I wanted to play catch up a little bit. For this installment of the photo walk summary, we take a look at some of Calgary's downtown architecture.
Despite not being able to successfully finish last year's Project 52, I wanted to challenge myself again this year. To that end, I've joined the folks over at the G+ Weekly Photo Project for 2013.
Last week's theme was Winter (or Summer, depending on your hemisphere) and here is the photo I submitted for it:
This was taken shortly after the heavy snowfall we got here in Calgary the week before. In addition, I've been on a bit of a black-and-white experimentation kick after treating myself to a copy of the latest version of the OnOne Suite 7 set of post-processing tools.
Looking forward to taking on the challenge again!
Happy (belated) New Year!
One of the things I like to do at the beginning of the year is take a look back at my work from last year and try to pick out my best shots from my library. With the passing of another year, I've grown so much more in photography. I've met a lot of photographers both online and offline, learned a lot of new techniques and tools, had my biggest year yet in terms of sales for my photography business, and I've enjoyed every minute of it.
Here, then, are my top 12 photos from 2012 in no particular order:
Thanks for a wonderful year – looking forward to 2013! Cheers!
As the end of the year approaches, we took a night to visit the Calgary Zoo's annual ZooLights display. Unfortunately, we managed to pick a particularly cold evening to do so – it was a brisk -20 C or so, worse with the windchill. Since it was so cold, we didn't end up seeing every exhibit, but here's a few shots from what we did see between defrosting breaks of hot chocolate and coffee at the cafe. (click to embiggen)
