It's been a little while since I've posted some more of my 'screenshotography' from City of Heroes (see also parts 1, 2, 3, and 4). For this post, we wander around various locales, thanks to the amazing technology at Portal Corps! ;-)
Despite not being able to successfully finish last year's Project 52, I wanted to challenge myself again this year. To that end, I've joined the folks over at the G+ Weekly Photo Project for 2013.
Last week's theme was Winter (or Summer, depending on your hemisphere) and here is the photo I submitted for it:
This was taken shortly after the heavy snowfall we got here in Calgary the week before. In addition, I've been on a bit of a black-and-white experimentation kick after treating myself to a copy of the latest version of the OnOne Suite 7 set of post-processing tools.
Looking forward to taking on the challenge again!
In the last days of City of Heroes, we were sometimes treated to random events from the devs in the City. On this particular evening (November 28th, to be exact), HitStreak stopped by to spawn some tentacles in front of the heroes standing vigil in Atlas Park 33 on Virtue. Naturally, we heroes had to take care of this menace! (click the screenshots to embiggen)
And in the end, HitStreak also granted the 'Paragon Backer' gold title to everyone that he could. I was happy to have finally been able to catch one of these events.. Every time I heard of one of them happening, it was usually when I was at work or otherwise away from a computer – I'd see screenshots fly by on my phone via Twitter, wishing I was there.
Happy (belated) New Year!
One of the things I like to do at the beginning of the year is take a look back at my work from last year and try to pick out my best shots from my library. With the passing of another year, I've grown so much more in photography. I've met a lot of photographers both online and offline, learned a lot of new techniques and tools, had my biggest year yet in terms of sales for my photography business, and I've enjoyed every minute of it.
Here, then, are my top 12 photos from 2012 in no particular order:
Thanks for a wonderful year – looking forward to 2013! Cheers!
