Last week, Calgary experienced a large dump of heavy wet snow after a stretch of nice warm spring weather. Of course, this is really no surprise to those of us who live here and see this year after year. If I remember right, the city saw around 20-30 cm of the white stuff accumulate this time around. That was about how much we saw in our area and the snow I shoveled off our driveway managed to create snow banks about 1-2 feet high.
Here's a shot of the snow that collected along the railing of my deck. There was a good 3-4 inches on the deck itself.
